From time to time I pull the stove completely out from the wall to sweep. It's the most disgusting cleaning job ever which is why I don't do it very often. ( Kiss my ass if you don't like my cleaning schedule.)
It's always a red letter day for the kitty:
My Aunt Kathy (The Millionaire's Aunt, really) taught me to crochet this week. I vaguely remember my grandmother making afghans for us as kids and I know I've learned how to make chains before, but finally I sat down and learned how to put them all together. It has been quick and easy for me, so Aunt Kathy gave me a bag full of yarn to pull apart and untangle as a starting point for practicing my single crochet, double crochet and edging.
I cannot get enough of this little blanket. I was commissioned to make a couple of blankets for a relative to give as a shower gift and this one stole my heart. It was a blast to make. After searching for an hour or so online and failing to find just the right owl, I made my own. He's patterned off the owl in the backing fabric. I love, love, love him!
We sure did. The Millionaire and I are taking our "prescription" seriously, so today we went on a short hike. I love my babe's willingness to get out and do things with me, but it doesn't hurt to have the doctor reinforce my suggestions.
We went. We saw. We oohed and aahed. We wished we had collect empty cans off the ground for the school can drive.
Art Prize was super cool. Out of close to 200 pieces, we ended up seeing only a small fraction in our walk around downtown. Included in the ones we saw were the 4th, 6th place, 8th place, and 10th place winners.
