I've decided to get more hands on with the blog. After the Millionaire questioned whether the monthly expense was worth it, I promised myself I would get back to a more regular blogging schedule.
We've dreamed together of what OUR house would look like for the last several years as we've bounced around from rental to rental. I've been keeping a mental checklist. When we found the Millionaire Manor, I wasn't sold on it. I had my heart set on an older home, chock full of eight inch baseboards, crown molding and lots of character. The Manor isn't that house. It's huge. Almost every wall is covered in either 1)hideous 80's wallpaper or 2) hideous 80's mauve paint that has faded to a dusty pink. It's going to take a lot of work to get this house Windy-fied. I started today.
Full disclosure: I've never handled wallpaper before. I've neither hung it nor removed it. Until today, when it took too many hours to get this far on a project the Millionaire says shouldn't have taken me so long.Of course I totally forgot to take a good before photo, but you can get the gist of it. I think I've done a pretty dang good job for my first try. Whaddya think?
Wallpaper detail (notice the awesome job they did matching the seam along the swirl!):
Here's my progress throughout the day:
This is where things are tonight. Mr. Millionaire decided that we needed a different remover, which required a not-so-quick trip to Home Depot.
