Lorraine

In April 1968 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was in Memphis to support the sanitation workers strike. Dr. King was staying in a small hotel in downtown Memphis, the Lorraine Hotel, a popular spot for famous blacks to stay while in Memphis. Also, a favorite hang out for STAX artists. (See how it is all fitting together?) It was raining the day we stopped by for photos so all you get is this brilliant blue door.
